Dog ate Desitin - Page 1

Last night my dog ate a half tube of desitin diaper rash cream (10% zinc oxide). She threw up her meal and later threw up more desitin. My husband called the vet last night and he said he didn't think there was anything in it that would harm her and to call back if she continued to vomit. She seems fine this morning,I would just like to make sure and to see what everyone thinks. Thanks, Melanie

Melanie, You can call poision control center they should be able to help you but I think it being a baby product it would be harmless. Good luck. Marlene

Well you definitly don't have to worry about diaper rash inside the bowels LOL. Hope your dog is well.

VHDOOSEK9-lol I called Poison control this morning after posting, they also said nothing to worry about except for in large amounts it causes vomitting, which I already figured out, lol. Thanks, Melanie
