All Four Kibbles are a No No with me they certainly are not the best Kibbles in my book,  too much unwanted ingredients in them buy a grain free or neat grain free Kibble, like Orijen or Acana made by a Canadian Company, Top Kibbles and the Dogs thrive on them, all of the above four i can get easy but will not use them
The Canadian kibbles i drive an Hour to get it each way and well worth it
Steve
Let me just say i know that a lot of people in the two clubs i belong too use three of the four kibbles listed I use the Canadian kibble, They do not look as well as my Dogs in the coat or looks But perhaps i am biased but an honest assessment

It comes down to personal preference but for me  Mera Dog and Eukanuba are  by far  better foods than  Royal Canin.  I didn't like the Royal Canin at all as my dogs lost condition on it.  It contains too much vegetable protiens and not enough animal protien.

Personally, I wouldn't feed my dogs any of those, but you can check www.dogfoodanalysis.com to compare them. If you're worried about price or if you don't have access to anything but Petsmart or Petco, look at Natural Balance (limited ingredient diets) or Blue Buffalo Wilderness. Both are grain free, but if you don't like feeding high protein Natural Balance has less than Blue Buffalo.

I've fed Solid Gold BATM and Taste of the Wild (High Prairie), had good results with both. My dogs have healthy, beautiful coats and the vet comments every visit on how fit and healthy they both are.

I use to feed Royal Canine and my older Shepherd did well on it. Then i tried Country Naturals and that is very good food. I feed Raw (Majestic and Primal) with a little bit of the country naturals to 4 of our dogs and Uruk just gets Raw now. No kibble.

I believe that Royal Canin contributed to my girls intusseption...the surgeon said that the beet pulp they use for filler has been suspect in a lot of digestional illness, & is not well tolerated in dogs. It is cheap bulk added to boost the fiber content of the kibble. It cost us a lot of anxiety, >$3000.00 in vet bills & almost cost my Ansgar her life. A lady in South Africa had a similar story after feeding Royal Canin, but hers did not have a happy ending. I'm sure there are more stories like this out there. I love the Evo we now feed, & Orijen is excellent as well. Sure, they are more expensive....but isn't it worth it? Also we started out many years ago feeding Eukanuba, & found that some of our dogs had constant skin problems....off the Eukie, no more trouble. And the funny thing is, vets often say that high protien diets contribute to pano...our male stopped having pano pain when we switched to Orijen...too bad we can't get that anymore...but Evo is very good as well; nice glowing coats, sparkling eyes, small, firm nearly odorless stools, boundless energy. Can't beat the results! jackie harris
