They quoted the quarantine period, not me, and call me a cynic, but I smell a rodent.

Shipping Juno isn't a problem... she already have been vacinated and she have got a passport...

Re costs...
In Uk we've been told it will cost us around 3000
We spoke to vets in Poland and they told us circa 600
plus petrol for the car and the ferry  300 gives us less than 1/3 of costs here.

Concider we've got a baby due in 2 months it's a huge saving of money and time.
I can't care for baby and Juno at the same time... She needs this operation now to save my baby's health (brithing in the urine smell - amonia isn't a good atmosfere for a newborn or anybodyelse really)

Hello again,

Sad news...

Juno couldn't be diagnosed, because there is no name for her disability. It's now known it's defenetly not Ectopic Ureters as British vets told us. What we found out after all test is, that her food ways, urine ways and female parts were conected with little tubes (bipasses). Urine has been found in uterus and also in stomac. Her vagina didn't develope at all it was deep inside body. And thing we thought is her outside part of vagina appeared to be partly developed penis. So she wasn't really fully female, but she was almoust bisexual. They found out about it today when they opened her body for operation.

Unfortunately urine which where liking into different parts of her body did too much damages. She already had internal infection. It was too late to help her.

We have been told that they had never seen such complicated genetical issue.

I still can't belive in everything... I lost my little girl... ;(

From your description of the findings, it sounds like Juno was an intersexed, or hermaphroditic, animal. It's not a common condition, but it's not unheard of, either--usually, though, the condition is obvious to the eye and not hidden internally as it seems to have been with Juno, so it can be surgically dealt with successfully while the pup is still quite young.

I'm so very sorry to her there wasn't anything more that could be done for her, and you had to let her go; the kindest thing for her is the most hurtful for you, I know.  Despite a too-short life, she certainly knew she was well-loved by your family, and that's a gift you gave her that some dogs never get to experience.   She waits for you now, healthy and whole, in another realm where you'll someday be reunited with her.
