MissZara

"MissZara

There was no question about eligibility for the class. The original question was should the result of the class depend on the Korklasse standing of a dog. The judges choice for the best bitch in the open bitch class was placed second because it was not Kk1. The second best bitch was promoted to first because it was Kk1. This was explained in detail by the judge with the stewards present."

That was the point I was trying to make - She clearly was eligible for the first place  because it was not dependant on her having her Kk1 and therefore should never have been penalised for it, which is effectively what happened.

Yup... exactly right MissZara.

Is it not the intention of the club concerned, to either refute, or defend themselves from the perceived irregularities that took place?    I am astonished by the silence, when such serious allegations are being made.

Paul, it was not perception and it was witnessed by many people.

i hope this club realise that they could infact lose their license to run shows for blatent disreguard of the kennel club rules whether we agree with the way we have to show our dogs in this country or not, all shows are held under KC rules and regulations and to openly break their rules like this could be dangerous.

You're absolutely right, Jim... Clubs have lost their tickets for less, in the past.

OK... I guess nothing is going to be said or offered by GSD Club of Wales, their policy is clearly, whatever we do, it'll blow over if we keep quiet... and perhaps they're right... so, nothing ever changes!  THAT is not right.

Maybe someone has written to the KC about this?

If I was the owner of the bitch placed 2nd (or any other dog entered) I certainly would be submitting a complaint.  As a well known Geordie agility judge used to say 'rules is rules pet' - that is until he got banned by the KC!

So its ok for them to get away with it provided it doesnt bring the breed into disrepute?  I think it would do the breed a lot more good to stand up and be counted and show they are not condoning such behaviour - these foreign judges are not god, yet some people seem to think that unless you have a foreign accent you cannot judge a GSD.

As a champ. show judge i would be mortified if my integrity was questioned in such a manner ( over the ether ) :  ok the Italian can just hop on the plane, not interested whether he will ever be invited back, after all there are plenty more countries for him to visit :  it's not so easy for the people left facing the flak, their integrity has also been called into question, which could have wider repercussions for themselves, as well as the club.  The silence is deafening.  Say something, even if it's only sorry.
