Try Vetschoice Holistic formula I think is 24/18 or something like that, very nice food my dog are doing superb on it. Tried to switch them to Orijen as a test nothing got out of it. So I am back with Vetschoice price is about 40 for 40lb. All ingridiants 100% US. In my opinion is a decent food and everyone that I know that been using it loves it. Good luck.

check out diamond extreme athlete.  40lb bad for about 27 dollars.  i feed this to my pitbull to keep weight on him without overfeeding.  no corn or byproducts.  compare ingredients to all other diamond products.

forgive me if this posts twice, I switched browsers and it isn't quite the same :)

You might try a product called "Balanced Fat" from Red Paw.  It is a sled dog product that might help you keep the protein low if you already have a good base food but just need more fat.  they also have a nice line of dog foods but can be hard to find a distributor.  The fat is a small enough thing that it is more shippable than a bag of food.
