i have a young male he is about 9 month old, the end of his tail is sometimes tilted towards one side i don't know if this is a serious problem or not or it will be a disqualification.

the tail in not tilted all of it to one side or curled above his back but the end only is toward one side, it is sometimes normal and move well sometimes is not.

please any suggestions.

Don't worry about it. Depending on how severe it is, it could be considered a MINOR fault in the show ring. From your description, it sounds very minor indeed.

Any suggestion to correct a raised tail? My GSD is curling his tail upward.

Look up Asko von der Lutter and see his tail

There is no legitimate way to straighten a tail. Some will tell you to do x, y or z, including surgery, but why bother? The dog, for better or worse, is what he/she is. To try to straighten it in any mechanical or surgical way would be akin to doing surgery to help ears stand.....and it is patently wrong and dishonest.

As I said above, the degree of difference from the breed standard that says the tail should hang like a saber is what is important. Unless any tail trait is really pronounced, the dog has a minor fault. It should be taken in light of the overall structural qualities and quality of the dog, including temperament, working ability, health, etc.

Some dogs carry their tails higher than others. Some dogs like a curve to one side at the end of their tail. If the tail is sometimes carried normally and has never been broken, it's just the way the dog is. It's a slight fault not to carry the tail "like a saber" as the standard says. Don't worry about it.

Is his tail too long?  If the tail is a wee bit too long, some dogs will hook it to one side to prevent it trailing on the ground.
