If my dog was chewing his paws, I'd take him to the vet. It's a common symptom of food allergies, amongst other things.  If you already have gone to the vet, and you know it's a yeast infection, you can use regular old athletes foot cream, but again, I'd be wondering why he's getting recurrent infections.  Especially to the lady with the english bulldog, they are known for skin conditions and you at least want to know what you're dealing with.  If it's a bacterial infection the athletes foot cream won't do anything for it.

My 2 cents.

Not really a "home remedy" but- my cocker spaniel has had numerous vet diagnosed yeast infections between his toes. Washing his feet in Malaseb shampoo twice a day for a week has cleared it up everytime. Lather up the feet, let sit 10 minutes, rinse. Always works. He gets the infections about once a year when his allergies act up bad. The allergies cause his feet to itch, which leads to licking and chewing, which makes a dark, moist environment that yeast loves!!

All of the above is good info.If you have a horse feed center near you.Look at the products. You may still find Blue and scarlet oils.//tinctures.I would have to know more about the dog to comment further.PM.

INteresting.  Tried the Micatin so far and there is still a major itch....not much success yet over 4 days and it is driving my mixed breed nuts.

My vet said that oil of oregano could be used on paws and to add Bromelain to the dog's diet.

Other thoughts?
