The AKC requires that the foreign registration and AKC application reflect identical ownership. The name, address (typed) and signature of the breeder is at the top, but the Czech pedigree is blank where it says Majitel'/Adresa/podpis (name and address of owner). Should I fill that area in (hand written) or fill in the back (bottom) in the new owner transfer area Datum/ Meno noveho majitel'a/ adresa/ podpis. Will this be sufficient in reflecting ownership for the AKC. I am not sure about all the translations. Thanks for any help.

There are situations that fall outside the normal information that's required on the AKC forms. Leases while a female is pregnant, etc, etc,.... The ownership must be identical and continuous on all paperwork. I think your best effort would be to contact Windy or Brenda at AKC foreign registration, tell them your situation and ask their advice. They may have you get a statement to complete the process if there is a question somewhere in the chain of ownership. They will be the ones ultimately approving the application, might as well get the information they request the first time. Hope it helps.

Copy the Dzech pedigree and all papers you got with the dog, fill out the foreign registration, take two photos, one front one side, send a check and put attention: foreign registration. They do not want original papers from another country only copy all sides of them from front, back, insides, etc. The Breeder should have the papers signed from the Czech dog and ready for you to send into the AKC or whatever registry you choose.

I also went through this with a dog from Slovak.I did exactly what Dog1 suggest's.I spoke with Windy. She is very helpfull and took care of everything for me.She told me to do what WILDTHING suggested.I did have to copy all paperwork and sent in a blank AKC reg.(except for my own info.)Windy filled in the blanks.
