Sunshine I am not on this board to argue or fight I do not know anybody on here. Why do u seem to be just edging for an argument in every question posted, its like your saying: Hey folks, I know the answer and only me!! I am sorry if u disagree with my post, it stands how I feel about East German Lines. I know friends that have them and how they work. Some are super great, I owned one years back and it killed my little dog, so I have no time for them. Just my personal opinion and again: I am only on here like most to voice an opinion, take it or leave it. Thanks!

Perhaps you are misguided by your peception Wildthing. I am querying where the information has come from that a BSP Dog has maimed a family member. Nothing more. Then I have gone on to query those who have taken for granted a head pose as the terrible mean culprit (because he was a sable dog?). And if you really look at my posts, there has up to now been nothing where I have been contradictory in. Except for now, which certainly must mean something.

First: please excuse my bad english. But I must write here something, because some members from this list put too much own sense/sensations in the interpretation. This artikle is only the information about a TV -report, which I also watched. Mr. Heiko Grube (SV speaker)and a animal therapeut from Switzerland discussed with the Moderator Mr. Jauch about how dangerous can be the GSD and special how dangerous is a GSD with SchH-training. The report started with the story about this young boy, which was bit 3 years ago from a "GSD". No more information about this dog. To made the report more "dangerous" they showed session from the bite-work from the last BSP. It finished when the therapeut told that also a Yorkshire Terrier can kill a person (months ago a Yorky killed a baby). To WILDTHING: I don't know from where do you have your experience about the eastern blood bred. I never saw "ARE HIGH DRIVE WITH ALOT OF TIMES UNSTABLE NERVES. I HAVE SEEN THEM, VERY SKIDDISH, NOT ALL BUT THIS IS JUST ONE REASON I DO NOT CARE FOR EAST LINES". Normally this type is not high drive and have very stable nerves, special the pure blood. Also the typical eastn blood (DDR) has very blocky heads, which I really not can see on this picture. Do you not think that it maybe looks more like a head from a Collie? To M.Carter: The dog was a PARTICIPANT of the BSP !! From where do you got this??? This is only a picture out from the archive from the TV, not more!!!!!!

Sonja, Thank you for your post,as always full of info.I could not have said it better myself. No to mention the picture to me does not look like a DDR dog.The media here in the states has a way of totaly distorting the facts also. Goes to show you can't always beleive what you see or here....

I really need to learn how to speak/read German.......

Hard arguing against a brick wall. Thanks Sonja and Chris. I don't even have a sable or Eastern or a BSP to defend. Just irks me that someone will put out information that is firstly incorrectly translated and then defended to the teeth for its correctness. With always that side denunciation that one is out to be argumentative.

So Sorry, all i seen was a head of a sable which is often a DDR Eastern Bred Dog. I mean no harm, I have my right to dislike the lines, but I am not going to fight or argue about this. It could of been any dog and i admit I might of jumped to the wrong conclusion. So sorry if I did for I mean no harm just a voice of mine on this site. Thank You

Doh........ Kloss, what did you say??...lol..

by Charlie Ivory on 26 October 2004 - 03:10

I need to throw in a little something...I have been an Animal Control Officer for about 12years now.I have investigated many serious bites involving children,in fact most bites do involve children First I do not feel a child can provoke a dog bite,If it is a well rounded dog unless the dog is defending himeself or it is tied or tethered to something so it can not remove it's self from the situiation the dog should not bite period.I have heard all the excueses the child was by the dogs food dish, steped on it;s tail. he was hot and the list goes on and on.ANYONE that would trust ANY dog alone for ANY amount of time is a fool........A dog is a dog, he is a unpredictable animal, no matter how much we may trust or love it,it is still an animal no matter east, west or a collie......Don't be stupid enough to ever let yourself become a statistic Any dog in my house that would bite unless sent by me would be put down the moment I could get it to the Vet to do so. I NEVER let my children put their faces near the face of any of my dogs and poor little girls if I see them doing it.
