With So many people expressing their unhappiness over the state of Affairs and Results of the last Seiger show held in Pune, It appears to me that a possible solution would be to get Judges from different countries. Thereby putting rest to speculation and also accusatuions of Show-fixing. Most German Judges would always be partial to Top Rated German Dogs. This could be avoided by introduceing judges from other countries, who are less exposed to BSZS results and judge purely by the Breed Standard. This exercise would also lead to wider circle of winners (avoiding the same winners everywhere) thereby promoting wider range of Studs, automatically generating new stronger Genepool. ***J.S

I do appreciate your good intention, but have some doubts on the results. For ages, we got judges from Australia to judge in india in all breeds shows. The sole reason for most of them being invited was that they were club presidents who invited a couple of "all mighty" Indian judges to judge in Australia!! I have seen beagle and chihuahua judges awarding CC and Board placements to long coated German Shepherds! There are excellent GSD judges in Australia, but they rarely get invited. I am glad Calcutta is getting a top-notch judge . Again, most top german imports in india are worthy winners. It is not easy to beat a top V rated dog with a local bred under an experienced specialist judge. Where I do take an exception is the same dog being campaigned for dog of the year every year despite winning each year. It is a hollow victory, since a comparable dog is not present to offer challenge.
