Sure They are all intellegent , it has to do with pigmentation , not intelligence.   Jane Steffenhagen can fill you in  with a course in pigmentation and hereditary genes and the importance of the spot on the tongue..No wives tales involved..sorry to burst anyones bubbles..

All of our german stock kids come with great intelligence if bred correctly and with care.

I discovered a big black spot on one of my sable girls last week... BOrn with it , of course, it was born with it, just has to come to the surface at a certain age , when the tongue meets the size of a  normal teenage size..Puppies tongue grow and attain size which usually start the spot to enlarge to be seen..Most of my blk/red guys and gals have multiple spots and some are way back on the tongue, hard to see , unless dog is panting.

Bossie doesnt show a spot right now , but I am still checking daily.

I always thought that a Black Spot on your German Shepherd's tongue meant that they were from the wrong side of town...That's not true?
