Not to bring up a somewhat older thread, but I've also wondered this.

Thank you all for your posts, I'm looking for a prospect police dog, and as far as i can see they are both from great ancestors such as A'tim, Rakky, Urosh G'bibber,Elgos ect.. I just wonder if they will make good police prospects?
I don't really care about their pedigree it's whats in the dog it self.

What does the breeder say about the specific dogs.  The lines you mentioned are all good, and all have dogs that are doing police work, but like you said, it's also what's in the dog itself.  I've had dogs from Elgos lines who were excellent sport dogs but I'd never take down a dark alley.  A littermate to one of those dogs was an excellent police dog, and I saw others doing sport who could have also been good police dogs.  I've seen A'Tim kids that were doing police work, I've also known some that I would never ask to be a patrol dog, drug work only.

Are you looking at pups or young adults?  If young adults, just test them, and you should know if they are a good police prospect.  If pups, there is always an element of risk with a pup, but most solid working line Malinois litters are going to have some good police prospects in them.

Hi, Thank you very Much Malndobe
Definately looking for a pup but as you say it's best to test :)
Both of the dogs have great  ancestors behind them and as they say never look at the parents it's the grandparents you have to be more selective for :)

Thank you all for help and we will get the pup :)
