When my dog hackles up, I simply run my fingers over it, and it's down. FIVE pages of Posts over hackling, so much to learn, so little time.....

So you don´t like it ( otherwise there is no need to "run your fingers over it" ) - but why ???

There always is a reason for any behavior, in this case :
dog = hackling ;
human = trying to make the hackling invisible ...

Sorry, just a lazy Saturday :)

LOL 😁 yes Sussie. Lazy Saturday... You CAN say I don't like it, shows that my dog is UNSURE (I think this word can describe every possible reasons for hackles going up) . So, running the fingers is just to re-established, if it was forgotten, who's in control here.

O.P.
You lost me on the first page. Why would someone ask a bunch of anonymous, blind people about your dog's behavior, when you state that you have done muzzle work? I would assume that either you or the helper/decoy are educated enough to answer your own question. I mean, who does muzzle work without being able to answer simple behavior questions, and being able to read a dog.

No, I think you're trolling. Much like Myth-una. Why else would you say "experts"?

Vito, never ASSume ! If the OP is Mithuna under a different username, what he actually knows or has learned from trainers & decoys is questionable anyway ...
