Thank you for the kind words about my boy Sagey. I was using him as an example simply because he was not as fluffy as the OP's puppy around the same age. You are correct, he did not develop his ear fluff until later. I thought he was going to be a regular stock coat when I got him. He did not have a lot of the markers people seem to associate with definite long coats, he did not have long toe hair(even now, at 11 months, it's pretty minimal) and such.

Looks like a plush Like my pup Chase. People mistake him as long hair at first then realize he isn't. Chase is 6 and half months.

My breeder wasn't sure that my pup would be a real coatie, but she turned out just fine!

first one-my opinion is stock coat. second pup, i would say long coat. Genetics lab says there are just 2 kinds-stock and long coat.

Even looking at the 22 weeks picture, Diaz? Looks like a beautiful long coat to me.

i think she has different dogs? the body looks short,some hairs behind the ears do look like long
