Just wanted to say Nutra Nuggets isnt a bad food at all, its been used by many people in the Mid West for years now, the company began with feed of all kinds and in the last 20 years has been doing making quality dog foods. I have many relatives in the Agriculture business and they stand by this food, Im not aware that its even sold at Costco. In the St Louis region and even up further I know many whom use this food. Rhino good luck with your dog , and I hope the closed minded people on this site didnt change your ming all too much. Just because a GSD isnt from German or European lines doesnt mean it wont be workable or have no work ethic. Quite honestly I have seen English Labs, Goldens,Bulldogs, and so many other types of breeds that were not meant for this Sport get titles, and even a "Schipperke" has a SchH title here in the USA, dont believe me write the WDA. In New Mexico, and SW Colorado I have seen many WHITE GSD's that surely beat out "Norm" of the GSD,and they are high driven, motivated workers. The bloodline isnt always the answer, the heriatge of that certain lines isnt as well. Ive seen that roof as a trainer that keeps an open mind, and relative to my own experiences. Again I wish you very much love, and good luck with your decision. Regards, Jerry Hicklen

Jerry, Nutra Nuggets is made by Diamond foods in Meta, MO. The food is just a standard "Cheap" food. Even their lamb and rice has "corn" in it. I know the food and the company very well, the only good thing about it is...It doesn't contain euthanized cats and dogs in the formula. Birdy...

Jerry, Forgot to mention, Costco in CA carried this food for many years. I've been away from CA for 5 years other than visits and in my area of SW MO there isn't a Costco. So I don't know if it's still being offered now that they carry the "Kirkland brand" which still "IS" made by Diamond. Birdy...

Excuse me but "LMAO" now the USA's USDA is way below the standard of Canada now? Last I heard, saw, thats where this happened. Now Beef n More uses some bad stuff. When I did my internship with the USDA I was at the Plant in St Thomas and saw nothing of the sort.

Birdy, I believe they took to corn out of the Lamb and Rice formula finally. I used to email Diamond and ask them what is up with the corn in a lamb and rice mix. Their response at the time was "people wanted it in there." But it has changed and you are correct, It's not one of Diamond's top of the line feeds. My husband brokers some of the meat for their foods and Diamond does a good job of using quality meats. I too live in MO, we should get together. Melody
