lol, I'm thinking quite a few here would soil themselves if only half of the old posters (before admins) came back. it was lively to say the least.

" Holy cow people!
Is this the start of the tower of babylon? Where everyone starts speaking in different tongues (ie: different ideas) and can no longer communicate anymore? Is this what social media is making of us?
Then I can understand why so few people bother to come here any more. Cricky...lets stop the bickering. Everyone has so much to add here!
Please don’t take the bait and don’t dish out bait.
This board sounds like a dysfunctional family Christmas dinner sometimes! "

Lol!

Ruger, we aren't likely to ever bring back old threads. But you could try by linking to that thread and looking for new ideas and conversations.

Joan, Lordy, couldn't you have found a better way to say what you said? Or better yet, have said nothing at all?

Jesse~ Sadly, some folks just don’t have good communication skills and derive their pleasure by being cyber-bullies!
I treat them the same way I treat some of my dysfunctional family member lol !
Just shake my head and smile 😊,,,,lol !

Rik~ Lol I’m laughing just thinking about it😂

😊GSD~ Yes, the goal I was suggesting we achieve is “original thread” with the addition of “new ideas” via re-opening the old thread!
But, 🤔linking will work if the other option isn’t an option !!!
I see at this time it isn’t so !!
We carry on as is! ,,,

Almost seems like old times,
Joan just calls it the way she see it, that's why many have left, not saying because of that joan, there were the bullys, usually the ones that had the most knowledge, those trying to learn, but always run 23rd:ed by those with the answers, and those always hitting the "freeze frame" button , admin, admin...they could dish it out, but could t take it.
I learned so much here, from some of the best. I still learning.
Them old threads are a wealth of information.

Kitkat~ I always support posters having the freedom to communicate as they see fit even if that means allowing the ill mannered to speak freely ,,,, And I think you have it backwards, I believe many people left because they could not speak freely. There have always been those that lack the ability to speak appropriately.
While I have always been a supporter of freedom of speech on this board I’m not going to refrain from calling a
bully, a bully ,,,,, and we have at least one here presently.
Let us all speak as we see fit, and with that freedom we will all see who we each are at our root !!!
It works itself out every time 😊

I think the breed has people with a lot of passion. I think those old threads had a lot of information from a lot of experienced people. They may have been perceived as bullies through their passion sometimes crossing over to personal comments, but they provided a wealth of knowledge for the newer folks. Currently, most of these folks have gone or post infrequently, and the board is calmer and pretty much devoid of passion, or the quality topics that once proliferated. AND the learning folks have drifted away because there is less to learn.....wellllll everything comes with a price.

The folks that I’ve respected and enjoyed over the years were certainly passionate and at times their passion was burning hot 😮👹lol !!,,,,Loved it and learned a lot !!
Being a miserable bully and having passion are two very different things!  Let’s not confuse the two!!

one of the best post ever was a guy from Texas, can't remember his name. spent his time doing bite work and posting how great his dogs were and what crap everyone else's were.

someone broke into his house, he said they had to have taken the TV right past his dog. still makes me laugh.
