An example of why I would like the old threads open ~
Not to resurrect threads that should stay dead lol though I admit I’d be amused with doing so from time to time !!!

But rather, I was looking at a thread yesterday that had a ton of good info on a topic that is relevant to me at this time.
Why start from scratch ; square one and repeat the same ideas if we don’t have to ?

In this particular case the comments that were there coild not have been said any better, but allowing “new comments” is what I was after.

I like the idea of “adding to” what’s already there instead of going back to square one.

A good example is let’s say, “the best raw diet” it’s been discussed a million times in the past. I don’t want to start from scratch with the topic when most of it has ALREADY been covered, I’d like a CONTINUATION of the topic from where it left off.

People get BORED in my opinion when the same topics get discussed time after time instead of allowing an original thread to EVOLVE NATURALLY over the course of time!
I have always appreciated this site and everything Oli, GSD, and moderators do here.
I am not complaining I am just sharing some ideas ,,,,,

Ruger, It is very simple to find old threads to read just go to Latest posts, click on search, enter topic you have the interest in.  You will be surprised to see the old posts that are brought up on that topic.

If no member continues to respond to a post and moves on that post is set to post too old to reply in time.

 

I agree with heritage. Even google will bring up old pdb topics for research reference. When the topic was exhausted the first time around, why beat it to death with members you already deem as not as smart as the ones in those old archives?

I have a personal pet peeve with those who comment without actually reading what a person has posted. 🙄

I will also add that referenceing old topics is invaluable!
I’ll say it again, I am suggesting that there are threads that could be “added to” or “revisited” with a fresh look, by newer posters WITHOUT having to start from scratch a whole new thread.
That’s my point; ,,,,lol 😬

Yeah, I read your stupid post. And I gave my opinion about your rediculous premise. If you are so lonesome that you need to conjer up old conversations from people who obviously don't want to keep in contact with you, I suggest you go out and make some new friends with people who think like you.

Is this the start of the tower of babylon? Where everyone starts speaking in different tongues (ie: different ideas) and can no longer communicate anymore? Is this what social media is making of us?
Then I can understand why so few people bother to come here any more. Cricky...lets stop the bickering. Everyone has so much to add here!

This board is gone from something I really enjoyed posting on to now could not be bothered most of the time. And it's a pity because there is alot to be learned from members who want to discuss gsd and bicker. Different opinions is grate but childish taken over topics is fucken ruining most threads. 😤. Id like vto say thanks to all that run this site 👍
