I dont have either dogs but i want to know if this would be a good breeding for sports/LE so i know what to look for when i do start breeding. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/breeding.result?father=2716064&mother=2776423

what do you looking for?
in your case only direct communication with owners of this pair may provide some hint on possible outcome.
these both didn't come from active or well known sport ancestry.
both are continuity of past DDR breeding, both do have some siegers and good known ancestors but since then breeding approach and mating selection changed and the present descendants can be not necessarily similar to their ancestors 2-3 gen. back, leave alone farther back ones.
some dogs on their profile in here have breed survey evaluation, thus to some degree you can see prevailed trend of selection up to 1990.
but after 1990 DDR evaluation system was abandoned and W.Germany evaluation system unfortunately not much informative.
from 1990 to 2010 can be lost a lots.

I am looking for a foundation in which i will base my kennel on which will be the DDR i don't plan to breed pure DDR dogs but i want to bring out the traits and genetics of the old DDR by heavily line-breeding on those that have the traits and structure that i am looking for. I am trying to breed similar to how the DDR dogs were created by using my own evaluation system which i need to create in which i will asses the dogs until they are 13 weeks old.

I'm looking to create not a purebred DDR dog but one that has a similar structure and temperament. What i meant by sports/ LE was that some pups wont be good enough for LE so i would like their owners to use them for sports but they must be good enough, the DDR dot make great excellent sports dogs but i want them to be working dogs or dogs who can work. Or at least herding, SAR etc...

ask for working vids of both parents, stairs, cars, balldrive, bitework, etc, ask for healthresults on the dam

well, in this particular bloodline, retaining in breeding pure DDR trend seems resulted in well preserved phenotype of dogs. they still have nice, heavy boned/sturdy build of both sexes. particularly quite impressive masculine looking females, what is hard to find in today's mainstream breeding.
in regard of temperament, if you not in position to see those parents in person, as duke said, ask breeder/s if there available video of dog's activity. would be nice some shots of dogs in unusual situations, resembling real life events.

in respect of own evaluation system, it always will be subjective. what is good for you not always will be good for others.
objective evaluation rely on honesty of judgement by third party.

Thanks for the posts, i will take on board with the last comment about the objective evaluation i will brain storm a coulpe of ideas using the czech evaluation and the DDR then i will post it on here.
