BM doesnot know shit about GSD and lines, not the czech and not the german, has a dumbass breeder as a friend that doesnot know shit either, his friend hates me and hates czech dogs, so thats some info on that

now about czech breeders using west lines, most of them dont do it for improvement, but for easyer selling of pups, all run to males that help sell pups, not so much improvement, most czech bred dogs today with pedigree filled with western dogs, are good for pet or IPO at best, and not half as good looking as old line dogs,

was talking to a guy that is in dogs long time in czech, his statement says it all,  he said

in old czech lines, ball drive was not overall good, but all dogs would bite to the extreme, in todays lines all dogs will go for the ball, but biting is mostly crap

That's very similar to what I've seen in Czech dogs these days Duke . 👍 I would be very interested in the old school Czech dogs 😉

bladeedge, the general problem with old lines is that they dont hang from a rag at 8 weeks, and dont kill for the ball at that time, which makes them undesirable for todays fast market people, some lines however have much higher drive also, will see that I can dig up some videos for you

Duke I'm in to that type of dog I have that type of dog. that I would normally breed with a higher drive dog . I'd be interested in seeing some pedigrees if you have some I'm May be looking for a male and female in the future 👍

by duke1965 on 03 January 2019 - 18:01

that is what I do, the female I bred to Pepper comes partially from old lines and is a lower prey, higher civil agression female, so since Im breeding to produce dogs that are suitable for LE, I try to balance that out in the combination

And that is exactly why I've got a pepper female to breed with a male with much higher natural civil . I'm looking forward to this litter next year . I find I get pups that can cope with and tasks .

Female I kept, has what I consider fight drive.

At 11 weeks old today, not fight over a ball, (she watches it roll away) but rather latch onto my leg. I can mess with her, push her away and she drives back at nme and bites deeper and harder into my leg...the more I push her off the harder she comes back. I've even knocked her over backwards and she comes up fighting.

She will hang onto my jacketed arm and will let me lift her off the floor, shaking her head, while biting, like a great white tearing off a chunk of whale meat. Tongue Smile

Joan is the pedigrees that you use in your breeding if so very nice 👌

Thank you, Bladeege, yes, that mine pedigree. Bought the male last year. He has had a rough life, but he is type of dog not common anymore.
The dam of the litter is one of the best I have ever had. Her littermate brother is going for police dog 2 title this spring. His owner is doing very well with him...his first dog and first time ever training/ titling a dog.
Dam,s sister is detection dog in...get this...public schools. Zero children have panic attack because of a pointy eared dog jumping onto school desks while searching, lol.
