ok- I dont know when I can be back on puter. Storm surges can possibly be as high as 8 feet, which would put us under water. SB&P :( S*it,ba*ls and porcupines) Still have lots to do to prepare, although how does one prepare when the bay may engulf one's house???? We should get out but DH doesnt want to leave, so here we stay. Gov of NY is the best- he is allowing people who have to evacuate to bring their pets on all public transportation, so long as the cats are in carriers and dogs are muzzled and leashed. FINALLY- a politician with a REAL heart!

Someone went to the shelter today to see him. Said there were men around, everywhere, and he was not reacting to them at all, so I dont know what the story is with the adoption counselor. That being said, I have no one to foster him anymore, since the person I know wont foster him if he is sick because she has puppies and no way to QT him :(

I have a friend in Texas who will foster him. Do we have enough people on here, on that route, who could piggyback him to her? If anyone is between those 2 states and can do a leg of the journey, please post here.

I am willing to chip in-does anyone know somebody from one of the GS/or other rescues that is qualified that can eval and see if he is indeed ill/aggressive (toward men)-get to a vet if need be-most of them board and at least get him away from the shelter while we get things set up-he is just too nice a dog to drop.

I am trying to see if my friend who will foster in TX can send back the person who went to the shelter today. Meanwhile I looked at our sheet and we have no one in AZ or New Mexico which we would need to cross to get to TX. I have a friend in El Paso and someone on here is mid TX but coming up blank in AZ and New Mexico :( SB&P :(

Do you think the GS rescue in AZ might provide some help with transport means?
