wOO hoo! Anything will help! My rescue-only paypal account is hooked to my wkgdogs@gmail.com PayPal account. I am off to the local airport. Barli is Paws UP in the skies over the CA central valley, ETA 40 min. Everyone who has met him fell in love with him. :-))))  My rescues come to me with no spay/neuter, little in the way of vet check or anything else, (except L.A. board bill LOL) usually loaded with every kind of parasite, flea dermatitis, all the usual signs of neglect,  so even a few bucks or a bag of dogfood helps.

Barli is here, at home on the prune ranch. We got home after dark so I fed, watered and walked him til he did his biz, decided to crate him for the night. He seems perfectly happy with all of that. He does need some weight, likely loaded with worms, and has been chewing the base of his tail some, but other than that he appears to be a fairly healthy boy.
Hopefully my vet will confirm that. :-)

Barli is settling in just fine. Sorry, its too dark for cell phone camera pix when I get off work, change and go outside to work with and care for the dogs. I'll get some this weekend, for sure.

Shelley - where are people able to find your PayPal account?
I think you wouldn´t mind about some help...

Susie, you just log into PayPal (if you don't have an account, you will have to set one up) then chose the 'send money' option, and enter the e-mail Shelly gave above. Pick your amount, hit send, and that's all there is to it!  Teeth Smile

Thank you - I got it!
It´s not that much I´m able to give, but I hope it´s good for something.

On this board people are talking about "rescueing" dogs the whole day - these dogs need food, medicines, kennels, time(!), and so much more...

If some of the people TALKING about rescueing but not able to help dogs by themselves (not everybody is able to foster dogs)  would support those who do with a small amount of money, things would become easier for these people..

Any help is appreciated. The rescues still need 2 dogloos, not to mention eating me out of house and home. LOL They arrived thin, of course, healthy, but needing wide-spectrum worming, heartworm tests/prevention, flea and tick prevention, food, food and more food. Danged high-metabolism working boys.
Here are ac ouple of rather poor-quality pix of Barli taken at dusk last night on our walk. He is really a beautiful boy, super coat, skinny but apparently healthy otherwise. He has TONS of ball drive and food drive, already demonstrates an interest in using his nose to track critters in the orchard. He's a burly, bouncy, brute of a young dog, knows nothing training-wise (hey, at least he isn't screwed up! :-) loves the car and the crate, would tear the door down to get in the house, but no manners once he's inside. In the right hands, I think he has a great working life in front of him.

I smell a tracking dog in the making.

No way he is taking his eyes off that ball. LOL

Barli is doing GREAT! It s almost like he knows he is in a good place now. TONS of ball and food drive. I suspect he is loaded with worms, but I'll pick up some antienthelmics (worm treatment) for every worm there he's liable to have tomorrow.
What a totally cool dog this is. I cannot believe nobody ever missed him, came to get him as he stood in line for the needle his last day at the Devore kill shleter, but I'm very happy we managed to save him and delighted to have him here.
I think this young beauty has a very bright future in front of him as either a sport dog or a LE K9.
