Woo HOO! Barli has transport up here to Sutter County on Moday. thank you Olga for the ground transport to Bakersfield and Pilots and Paws Captain & Mrs. Bruce Hedlund for airlifting him the rest of the way here. Pray the weather cooperates!

Now... All I have to do is finish building his kennel run after pay day. I'm very happy with how the runs are turning out, with rubber stall mats for flooring, heavy corregated metal roofing, wood or heavy-duty tarp-wrapped sides to windward, fluffy pine shavings on the mats, and dogloos. The dogs are very cosy out of the wind and rain, playing with their booda balls on this icky, rainy, windy day.

There is still some financial need for Barli AND Indy AND Gunny. Barli still needs to be vetted, wormed, heartworm tested, started on flea/tick,heartworm protection, neutered, (fed!), the works. Not being in the dog business anymore, I no longer keep a store of these things around. I understand he has soft stools at the boarding kennel. They suspect giardia, so add some Flagyl to the shopping list.
The rescues also have need of large/extra large dogloos, rubber stall mats for the rescue dogs. I only have two dogs of my own, the old one in the house full time, but I never did get my kennel panels/dog stuff from that gal in NJ, so I am starting completely over here at the new place for the rescue dogs. I can't believe what people get for that stuff on Craiglist these days. $100. for a filty, half-chewed up, 20 yr. old dogloo? Seriously? I only paid $39. apiece for those things when they were brand new (100 years ago...)

Shelly, I just sold my old Montana van, and can spare a few bucks, but since I'm in Canada, donating via Paypal or something similar would be the easiest. Is there a donation page somewhere?
