My dog and cat both got carsick. I used Feliway on the cat crate and neither got sick. I also told them they had to look out for each other. Don't know if it was both of them together or the Feliway, but the dog doesn't upchuck in the car anymore, even if the cat isn't there. The cat doesn't upchuck so long as he's been inside a Feliwayed crate for an hour or more before traveling.

I did discover that on the way home after activity and playing, she does not puke, in fact she falls asleep on the way home.
and she had a duck head, a fish skin, rabbit meat with fish kibble, and a ram's horn she had consumed during that trip (it was all day event)
the problem also where i live can make many people car sick because no roads are straight or level, everything is hill to hill and winding.

Straight roads make me sick, not literally, but figuratively, lol.

Loki used to get car sick when he was a puppy. We started out taking short trips and then playing his favorite ball game with him when we arrived, I don't care if it started going from our driveway to the neighbor's. We lengthened the trips gradually, always with a play time at our destination and back at home so the ride was a prelude to fun times. When we took him to the vet's for introduction, it was lovies and play, that way the time he has to go for something less fun, the die is cast that the vet can be fun. We always tried to end the car rides with fun stuff. I always fed him about half his meal before we left (waited about 45 minutes) and then then rest when we got home if it was a short trip. He did eventually get used to the car rides without throwing up. Also you may want to look at Cerenia, it is specifically designed for motion sickness in dogs.
