I have flown many baby puppies and many adults..  but i have never put a 4 month old pup in cargo..  has anyone had negative effects from this at this age?   thanks for any input.

I just had one shipped 2 days ago and she was 6 months old.. a little wobbly at first, probably like us with a touch of jet-lag !! but none worse for wear! The cargo people were all very helpful and kind to my little girl! Good luck!

4 months is the next set of the "fear stage."     Not sure if this is a good idea.  Can it wait a couple of months?

I have shipped a few 4 month olds and had no problems. If she is not confident or showing fear on the ground then possibly not but if not, then why not?

Not true on the Fear factor...SHIP the pup...NEver had a problem with one..

YOu cannot ship a pup under 10 weeks so 16weeks is great , no problem unless it is a weak nerved pup..

her nerves are great..    going to Nevada to a SAR team..  we were just trying to decide if the new owner should fly in and pick her up and drive back.. or if we should just ship..    thanks for your help.

I shipped one at that age, but used PetAirways because it was easier and actually cheaper. Awesome experience.  I wouldn't worry about cargo, though.

My last one was about that age and came out of his crate at the airport like he owned the place and peed on the lawn where we took him too, not phased at all. Good luck!
