VK, statistics are not sourced?  Really?  Didn't know I needed to put it in APA reference list format with citations. Figured putting the source in parentheses was enough for you to figure out.  Don't be easy to rape?  Really?  Now that is insulting to say the least.

VK "Feminists wonder where all the men have gone, they don't understand the men don't want to be around them. They are treated like an occupational hazard."  Feminists don't wonder where all the men have gone, the good ones are still around.  Hate to burst your bubble, feminists don't treat men as occupational hazards unless those men are put off by strong intelligent independent women aware of their self worth, sexuality, and not about to allow anyone to treat them as less than equal, objectify them, or shame them.  Weak men are afraid of strong women and use the feminist label to shame them into acting as they did in the Victorian era.

And what is a "sociological fact" VK?  The world is more than we know?  Hahahahahahahahahaha

What does "potential" even mean? Anyone has the potential to do most anything. If we are going to say that the statement, "most men are potential rapists," is valid then other valid statements are: most women have the potential to be false rape reporters, most children have the potential to commit mass shootings, most Muslims are potential terrorists, most blacks are potential drug dealers or gang members, etc.

If we accept the validity of the statement that most men are potential rapists then we are validating the idea that we can judge a group by the actions of some of its members. Some men are rapists just as some Muslims are terrorists, some blacks are drug dealers, some children are mass murderers and some women lie about rape. Do we define a group by the actions of some or the actions of most?

I hate that mindset of "all men are potential rapists" because that is not true.  I also hate the mindset that the mighty penis can solve all the problems a woman has.

Mind you asked my solution , I gave you a valid answer. Guys are less likely to assault anyone if you are less like a victim. There are no absolute solutions, bad shit always has and will happen. You put the odds in your own favour.

If your stats were correct I would expect to see a dozen raping on any random trip to the mall.

I have seen some of those studies, they counted women as rape victims when the women did not even know they were assaulted.

Public funderesearch by Hoff is often quoted but generally considered junk. Source bookmarked.

"Statistics surrounding sexual assault are notoriouslyunreliable and inconsistent, primarily because of vague and expansive definitions of what qualifies as sexual assault. Christina Hoff Sommers of the American Enterprise Institute explains that the study often cited as the origin of the "one in five" factoid is an online survey conducted under a grant from the Justice Department. Surveyors employed such a broad definition that "'forced kissing" and even "attempted forced kissing" qualified as sexual assault."

And yes feminists are lamenting the lack if compatible males to marry.

Guys are finding marriage not worth the drama, its just easier not to. Undeniable trends.

Rape culture is a construct of career feminists in women/gender studies courses. These courses are pretty useless degrees BTW.

Rape culture isn't a feminist construct. Feminism ideals could be the set up for some of the opportunists who justify such acts on college campuses, in our high school halls, or lonely walks home at night and leading all the way upward to the entitled monied class. Examples include: the recent Stanford swimmer rape and its wrist slap justice, Bill Cosby drugging allegations and the ever present groping without asking from all rank and file. Remember, too, that rape isn't about sex, it is about power.

Feminist equality depends on masculine acquiescence within civilization as to what is possible and what we agree upon and clearly see as completely fair. As the third wave feminists keep surging vociferously forth, their gains are forcing masculinity role definitions to be reworked. Not all the masculinities, (and from what I have been finding--is about three distinct types) are romantic and agreeable matches, including those from the feminists' POV.

Certainly vk4's type would not have a good outcome when matched with a third wave feminist. IMHO

This poor idiot is totally me. I doubt the shrieking hysterical feminist achieved to further the aims of women.

In fact the push back from men's groups and the distancing of women's groups from this type of feminism was.....humungus.

Oh, and one more thing. It seems the third wave feminism push is for equality to actually mean the same, including no observable differences for treatment or services for the two sexes, and extended to the myriad of increasing genders. This concept hits worldly resistance the hardest within cultures and religions still entrenched with patriarchy leadership.

It does have the feeling of making things up as we go along, sometimes, as the modern world and its civilization continually evolves.

Edited to Add: I couldn't finish listening to that hysteric, over blown, potty mouth. I don't think she favorably furthered her point. She was more offensive than the guy with a bad choice name joke. She would do better with cultivating some wit to cut him down in size.

Vk, the "screaming hysterical feminist" does exist but thankfully is in the minority.  Your comment of "In fact the push back from men's groups and the distancing of women's groups from this type of feminism was.....humungus." is referring to those conservatives who believe women are designed by God to be subservient to men, that they are incapable of equality and wouldn't know what to do with it anyway.  VK, your privilege is showing.......

by beetree on 01 April 2017 - 00:04

Mindhunt, that group exists for sure, but it isn't the driving force to the masculinity type I would box vk4 inside.

His is of the warrior gene/protection selection type. Third wave feminism negates his whole purpose. That in itself is just not fair.

by vk4gsd on 01 April 2017 - 01:04

My privilege is showing???

Yep never worked for anything in my life, just stroll into a job interview and say fuk the resume I'm a white male I will just have this job, now go get into to something nice, pretty your face up and fetch me a coffee beeach.

I mean we don't actually work, fake leadership positions are just created for us at 3 times the salary to stop us getting bored with all the privilege.

That's how all us white males roll.
