It's too bad Rikkor's lines were not seen as much at this year's BSZS.

I think the Rikkor line is fading and maybe because the hip score is scaring off the breeders. Kevin is still producing many offspring here in North America, but generally speaking, it looks to me as though the judges may be steering away from the Rikkor line. I am disappointed because I have a nice Rikkor son who has good hips. He just turned 2. Good conformation. Wonderful temperament

Just take a look here: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/progeny_pictures/6164.html Then say his lines aren't producing well? And as most only care to view a 3 generations ped, they well not see him in the ped and after all he is now comeing up to 8 years of age,so the last 6 years of his stud life,I would say he has left his mark,in a BIG WAY.

Grayman, I can sit here all night looking at theses pictures... It doesnt mean SQUAT to me. Lets see some videos of them working instead :)I could understand why the working folks get so frustrated by some of you showline folks..

Also another thing is that I dont trust this site as far as keeping up with progeny... wanna know why? This is part of the reason: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/412318.html Dont believe what this site has down... anybody put their dog under Rikkor progeny... This site is open for anybody to register their dogs... without it being reviewed.

Remember Rikkor is now 10 years old. The magnitude of his influence on the breed/bloodlines is apparent through his grandchildren and great grand children in all classes of the BSZS 2005 starting from the VA9 Nando Gollerweiher and running right through. His contribution has been extremely positive in correcting fronts, size, pigmentation, character and angulations. Some problems are of course apparent as in some short underbreasts and the croup.
