Thanks ZwieGSD for more details.

This high Vit. D sitch, might get pretty serious.

There are a lot of brands involved. So I took two screen shots of  all the brands because  I couldn’t  copy and paste from the FDA website.

I havn’t googled this in great detail, but if you feed kibble, check this out and add to this thread if you know more.

renal failure?

how poor or non existent is quality control to put out a product this bad?

isn't St. Louis also the home base of Purina?

This is pretty serious. So I‘m kind of bumping it back up.

More kibble brands than just Nutrisca is involved. See posts above.

It seems that just the amount of vit D added to kibble was too much.

It also seems to have been an overdose of synthetic Vit. D. Which is fat soluble and becomes toxic with high amounts as the liver can‘t detox it.

I don‘t know if that is fault of quality control, or just an unknowingly high amount of synthetic Vit. D, ....not knowing the side effects.

Joan your comment was removed, rudeness is not necessary.

I have a choice as to what I feed my dogs. The state is not in control of that yet, so I choose to feed kibble. I fed raw years ago, for several years...the results are not worth the time, expense and labor to feed multiple hard working dogs raw....not even not so hard working dogs .
