So Becky is all ground up Cry Smile miss my puppy LOL she is one year and 5 mounths

Even her vet's sees the diference in her personality she is becoming a big girl, more calm and more focus.

Size wise, she is 25 Kg (about 55 lb), from one front foot to the other (don't know other way to mesure her eight) she is 127 cm (about 50 in) and since the midle of her ears to the bottom/start of her tail she is 80 cm (31,5 in)

She is my first GSD, so I have no idea about her developing... The vet says she is fine but he is focus on her alergies (THAT, THANK GOD, ARE DISAPPEARING WITHOUT MEDICATION) he is really happy about that, and so are we.

Conformation wise, how is she? checked the fci standart, it says that she is to big, but just 2 sundays ago we visited a show and she looks so small looking at the other GSD there...

My friends only have that work-lines that are, to me, gigantic, so I realy don't have any way to know...

Thanks Wink Smile

PS.: each day that goes by we are more in love with this girl! She is sooo amazing!

You measure height from the top of her withers to the ground--I highly doubt that she is even close to being oversized, I think she most likely will fall within the middle of the standard, or even towards the lower end of it as far as size is concerned...which, to me, is NOT a bad thing as the GSD wasn't meant to be a HUGE dog in the first place. The red vertical line in this image shows you where to measure to get her correct height:

Becky's features are markedly feminine, which is a good point, and while some people will object the her reverse masking I find that coloration pattern to be attractive and showing good pigmentation and coat color. You'd need to post a picture of her standing, taken from the side and from the vantage point of the camera being on the same plane as she in order to get a more accurate critique of her structure, however.

Thumbs Up Hexe.

LOL, vk4.

Ana, @ 25kilos Becky is (slightly) on the light side for a female of her age,

but as Hexe says there is no problem with that.  You would know if she were

too thin;  you'd be able to see her bones, especially her ribs, too clearly.

If you put up the kind of standing pictures Hexe suggests, any problems

with her weight and structure can be assessed for you.

vk4gsd this pics were not to access conformation just something I've done for my self to see how grown up she is lol

Today we will hit the training camp so I will try to get some good pics of her standing.
Any tips on how to put her place right? I learning that by myself for watching on expos and so, but that are trained dog's I know how to teach place to Setters is it the same way?

Can you post a link for this dog's pedigree, please?

You mention working lines... I'm curious about the lines behind her.

Thank you.

I think he said the firends' dogs are working lines. Becky looks like she has showline conformation.

Becky is from WL, her color goes from Eick von der Berger Hochburg /her grandsire/. I have Eick´s son Erkan and Becky is a copy of him, the same color, head type, ear set.

Ana, Becky is turning adult, she just needs to gain a few kilos. Erkan was also very thin when he was about 1 year old, he added some more kilos after he turned two.

I saw the videos of Becky you posted lately - you did a lot of work with her since your last videos. You´re doing it right!

Do you have a DNA test for her? Is it mandatory yet?
