As to the third, and your recounting switching to raw, 'Bill', maybe I should give it a try, as my current dog probably rivals your puppy for title of world's most flatulent dog ! Never known anything like him in 50 years of GSDs ! (He seems fine on his kibble in every other respect). Maybe the one thing we can agree with the vets on is that dogs are all different individuals.
Its just good to hear that you have found a method which suits you and your pup.

Hund put 1/4c vinegar on his food and you may enjoy breathing again.

I use cider with the Mother in it but think any would work
I would say once a day should do it more if needed.

Dexter has just eaten his dinner complete with some Balsamic (the classy Mediterranean salad / cooking variety) on it; wasn't sure he would at first, 'cos he sniffed suspiciously when I first offered it. But he has scoffed it down quite happily in the end - so now I'll just monitor his gut noises for this evening, and see what transpires.
