I had posted about my puppy being pure-bred or not a couple weeks ago and he finally came home.. here are some pictures do yall think he is purebred.? His dad was registered his mom was not,but he looks EXACTLY like the dad. He also has his stance slanted like most german shepherds (sorry i dont know the term for it).

I don't see any reason to think he's not purebred--but if he's 3/4 GSD, it might not show up obviously.

Since you purchased the dog from unregistered parents - there is no way to know. You can get 100 opinions but they are just that...
I would sugest that (since you have asked a couple of times now) if you wanted a purebred GSD you should have purchased one from a reputable breeder.

I'm with unlimitedGSD. Yes, papers don't mean that much, and they can be falsified, but it is a bit of assurance that the pup you're getting is purebred. It looks pure, but you never know. I've seen a bunch that look like cute fuzzy GSD pups when they're little (I've gotten through vet clinics as bottle-feeding babies), who end up looking totally different down the road.

Whether its 100% German Shepherd Dog or not, it will change a heck of a lot between now and about a year old, because they all do.  Just enjoy the puppyhood.  (And don't forget to buy that breed book !!!)

I noticed he has dew claws on his back feet,
althought they do tend to crop up in purebred GSD's
once in awhile, I would guess him to be mixed with a little
something else.
I will be curious to see if his ears stand as he gets older,
that could be a good indication.....
  Please keep us updated!

Very cute, enjoy him!

My Janna is definitely purebred and she had rear dewclaws. I can see where they were removed. The hair grows a little funny there. She is a LSC. I probably never would have noticed had she been a regular coat but being LS the hair grows a little tufty where the rear dewclaws were.

I agree with the rest; he looks purebred, but there's no way to really know. You could do a DNA test to see if anything other than GSD shows up, but if he's only going to be a loved family pet, who cares!?

Shame on his breeder for not taking care of those rear dews! Now they'll have to be surgically removed. Do it when you have him neutered, while he's already under.

Purebred.

Even if you have papers, it is never 100%.

I assume the pup is female, no?
