Jenni78

GSDAdmin is SO right. It affects all of us and all our dogs.

22 months...not even mature. Already a disaster. Just wait. We've all tried. Over and over and over, only to be blasted, insulted, belittled, etc. Some of us have been lucky enough to get vulgar text messages.

This incessant posting about this dog, done simply to incite "discussion" (read: pick fights) is little more than trolling at this point, since none of the very good help and advice is ever heeded. I wish the pup the best, sincerely.

I honestly think this person is playing a game. Been around these and other forums for years and years and I think you are right Jenni78. I think they post these topics to cause arguments. Why even come here and ask this question when it is proven they are not going to listen to any reasoning. I won't go as far to say it is trolling but it definitely is game playing. I hate to say it but a community wide ignore would in all likelihood led to a disappearance and possibly a new member popping up. If it is true and this dog is like this I hope they buy plenty of liability insurance because if this dog ever bites someone and with these posts out there on the web, wow how dumb to even post this stuff on the web. Would love to see these vulgar PMs so if someone wants to forward one on to me and let the admin discuss it things might not work out to good for this person.

Ah so it's not just me that thinks all this is to incite anger and argument. Never doubted for a minute this was a game, maybe not the very first post but when the answers were all not to ones liking the game began. I agree with everyone, if this is for real do something about it now or forever rue the day you ignored the excellent advise given by concerned members.

To be frank, it would make me very, very happy if this has all been a canine 'catfishing' incident; I'm not so sure that's the case, but if so, fine--I can't help myself, but there's something about the dog whose picture we've been seeing that I find appealing...something in her eyes. So I really would hate to hear that something bad had taken place and she paid the price for it.

This wouldn't be the first dog that was more than the owner had been prepared for and was totally running the show, and it won't be the last, and maybe the advice that's been offered on this site regarding this real or fictional dog will have prevented someone else's dog from becoming a risk to its owner, itself and others.

Haha and that why I don't advise this person anymore a total waste of time and a total trouble maker

I have listened to what experienced folks on here have to say and at the end of the day I have to evaluate what I think is best.
Anyone can stay from wherever they are and give advice over the internet and i do appreciate this, but it is I who live with this dog and I do not devalue my own observation of what is going on . The conclusion that I am here to play some game or make some argument is as RELIABLE as the one from GSD Fan who kept referring to me as " she ". I do have an experienced trainer for my dog ( and who has also owned many working dogs ) and he assures that she is absolutely fine and has recommended PSA or IPO as a path to go forward. But I also wanted to compare a third party understanding with what the trainer is saying.

Some of the advice  on here seem good and some I find lacking in aesthetic appeal.

Yogi: Can you explain how I am a trouble maker? Atleast give a few lines of evidence.

Mr Darcy:  Whats your evidence this was an attempt to play a game?

And yes Hexe shes a beauty from Day 1 and still very much is.

Mith: The conclusion that I am here to play some game or make some argument is as RELIABLE as the one from GSD Fan who kept referring to me as " she ".

Gsdfan: yea because your gender is so obvious from your anonymous handle which ends in an "a" and no profile picture....sorry i was more focused on tending to your issues rather than figure out if you are a man or woman. LOL

Fan but still it was totally incorrect, and so many are making assumptions. One poster went s far to flesh out his hypothesis by assuming that my dog sleep in the center of the pack ( on the bed ): completely baseless.
I am the one who sleeps at the center of my bed and dog sleeps on side or sometimes get up and go on the ground and then return to the bed.
Like I said some of the advice is good and some is just lacking in aesthetic appeal.

You still planning on getting the second dog?

by Swarnendu on 27 June 2016 - 13:06

@Mithuna, I agree with your opinion regarding the "Dog sleeping on bed" observation. Sometimes, someone pass an opinion about canine behaviour and it keeps getting positive reinforcements as it keeps passing on. Then, no one actually bothers to find the reality, or accept it.

Out of my three dogs, two come to sleep on the bed, and sleep in the MIDDLE choosing their favourite pet humans whom they each prefer. They make good side pillows, until they get bored out of it and get down again. They do this routine at least thrice each night.

And, when my elder son was a toddler, my four dogs of that time used to sleep surrounding and as close as possible to the baby.
I don't think they treated him as their leader....😉😉

Dogs sleeping on beds doesn't necessarily always make them the leader. JMHO
