Gallery: Bea's xray reports (2 pictures)
The NZVA used the BIF-scoring scheme developed by the Breed Improvement Foundation in Britain, and now also used by the BVA, AVA and GSADCAustralia. It measures 9 aspects per hip, converting 16 of them to a 0-to-6 score, the other 2 to a 0-to-5 score, giving 53 : 53 as the worst possible lateral totals and 106 as the worst possible combined total.
NZ's GSD average is 11-to-12 total, Australia's is close to 14 total, Britain's is about 18 total.
To see Bea's actual aspect scores you'll need to download the photo so that you can see it at full A4 size.
