Read this on a different forum. If true and successful this is definitely a step in the right direction:

Girard Bradshaw, co-founder, executive director and director of judging for the Protection Sports Association (PSA) who is also the founding director of the National Tactical Police Dog Administration (NTPDA) along with the 2015 WUSV World Champion, Debra Zappia and several other like minded individuals, have all teamed up and created a new all breed working organization in North America. This organization is simply called, “Schutzhund” and will be implemented shortly with an intended outcome of returning Schutzhund back to its original roots along with some modifications necessary for an evolving platform. Please note,
the “Schutzhund” clubs and the suit sport clubs will be separate.
In the very near future, a lot of information will be disseminated. Social Media based platforms will be one means of communication for providing updates. Also, once finalized, we will post the information regarding an upcoming informational seminar that will explain in detail everything that encompasses this new organization.

Schutzhund Mission Statement:

To restore and maintain Schutzhund as a relevant breed suitability test for working dogs in America. Schutzhund will test the ability of the dog to withstand stress and continue to function in difficult situations. We will continue to evolve, always cognizant of the fact, that the balance among the three phases of the test is what makes it so difficult, yet so important. The entire premise of the test is to determine the best dogs suitable for law enforcement, the military and for serving the needs of humanity. With the information gained through the rigorous trials of scent work, obedience and protection work: police officers, individuals and organizations in disaster work, as well as our armed forces, will be able to choose canines suitable to execute the work of serving. Down the Road: Registration and Stud Books will be developed for individual breeds

More than curious...
more than difficult.

All the best!

i guess all, previously established "breed working organization" including SV, did proclaim exactly same goals.

hope it succeeds. only way is to get clubs onboard.

these are some very high profile people in the U.S.

probably the largest market for GSD in the world.

just a very few started Sch. in the U.S., now it is 2 organizations, USCA and GSDCA and it doesn't seem either is that dedicated to original goals.

maybe these can change it again.

vlak, I think I understand what you say and I agree.

many before talk the talk, but not walk the walk.

either cave in to AKC/GSDCA or USCA both who same as SV.

I hope that this group can organize and get something together to provide a sport that will be more true to schutzhund roots. With all the other up-and-coming sports like PSA, I wonder how much support there can be for this new proposed organization? Would the titles awarded be eventually recognized by any international dog organization? Good luck to them.

koots, the USA is large enough, strong enough. to accomplish anything on their own. we will just have to wait and see if resolute enough.

I'm looking into replacement for my recently departed GSD. And will participate in this venue if it is legitimate.

I've had AKC Champions, obedience holders, SV, KKL, SCH, Lifetime survey, region sigerien, whatever.

if I get another, it's going to be a civil SOB and pizz on conformation, but I will not rule out a good front shoulder.Tongue Smile

Rik - interesting how your priorities have changed, and I hope you find a dog that really 'does it' for you!

The USA has lots of people interested in dogs, but how many are interested in committing to the training and raising of dogs to participate in that new program.    Face it, most dog owners cannot even commit to teaching their dog good manners.    I hope it will not become a case of too many organizations competing for the same participants with not enough people/dogs in the game.

interesting Rik, join the club,

I started out as a showdogperson myself many years ago, and several others, I remember visiting an IPO trail in washington area some 12 years or so ago, where I saw Tim Wray titling one of his home bred malinois, where I was meeting him in the showring in USA 25 years ago LOL
