Hey all, I have a male Mal pup, who turns 9mo tomorrow and I'm curious to know at what point, on average they stop growing taller (at the withers). Right now he's 25.5" and between 55-60lbs. Hes on a raw diet but also gets omega oils, NuPro supplement, and the honest kitchen- preference with his meals. He is being fed about 22-26oz of meat per day, as I think he's growing again.... He was looking skinnier as of late. I'd like to see him hit 27"... As his site and dam were larger (85 and 72 lbs respectively) So any ideas on when he'll stop getting taller? Thanks all Here's his pedigree http://www.working-dog.eu/dogs-details/976215/Veni-Vidi-Vici-de-Las-Flores

It would be safe to assume he's finished growing after about 18 months. All pups are different, so don't stress over it.

They will have about 85 to 90% of their height by 9 months..but will increase in weight
for 2 to 3 years. Some very large Mals will be at 90% at 12 months.
You want your male at about 75 to 80 and your female 65 to 75 LBS.
                                                  Hope that helps

The most important thing is what can that dog do at any weight.
Malinois is a very incredible breed. A full grown Malinois at 70 lbs
can flatten a 250 lb man with ease.

I looked at the Pedigree..
For Fr ring you should breed more Ring dogs in that line.
CDH is good but I would want something that can do airlifts
up to 7 ft with out any problem....Having said that you
could still get a great jumper....No doubt you will get a
very good bite....your dog is a Police dog breeding...IMO.
                                                        ..Max
side note...

For a Fr Ring dog....a picture is a thousand words.

Colt au Paradis d'Orsy.....very good line for FR Ring....You said that you wanted to do Fr Ring.

my DM Carrier mali pup is almost 5 mos old & 43 pounds, she will be a BIG girl!
I have a 4 year old that is 26 & a half inches tall & 65 pounds....
I am going to have to wonder myself how big my new mali pup will get.
I think it might vary on bloodline as well as what they are fed. Would you think?
Exercise might play a factor in it.
My mail pup came from a HUGE litter of 11 pup & when I got her at 7 weeks (?) she was only 11 pounds & growing ( she also had giardia when we got her ) I really thought that would affect her, but I was really mistaken.
