Usually "us" Malinois people don't necessarily care how "cute" our dogs are, we kinda leave that up to the Shepherd folk.  We're really more concerned with temperament and working ability.

Thanks!  I'm really enjoying him, although he is entering that oh so annoying "teenage stage"
Where did you get your female from?

Is that what she's going through, the teen age stage? That explains it. I got mine from a breeder that I will not name. I was sold an AKC registered German Shepherd and as you can see from the picture, that wasn't the case. Not real sure about her parents since I can't get a straight answer from the breeder (that or the papers). We love her anyway. She is amazing, smart, sweet and extremely challenging at times. She's a keeper.

She is a cutey!  I got my male through a re home situation, so I understand not wanting to disclose any information:)
Just curious: How old is she, and what does she weight?  I'm trying to figure out what size/weight he'll be!

My baby girl is 6 months old. That picture was taken about 3 weeks ago. I took her to the vet about 2 weeks ago to weigh her for her heart worm medicine and she weighed 41 lbs. That was up 3 pounds in 6 days. I thought I was going to hit the floor. I went to Germany to see my husband for a week and when I got home she had all her "big girl" teeth in. I know that phrase is going to make some Mal owners cringe.
I was told she could weigh about 55 to 65 pounds, but she has GSD in her, so she could get bigger. She is a very large lap dog, and she is a lap dog!
Did you happen to get your's in NC or around there?

My girl weighs about 70, 72 pounds....some where around there. She's not fat either.....We've put her on a strict feeding scheudule since she's doing schutzhund training.  Mine is a lap dog too......she thinks she's the same size as my Boston Terrier.  I don't tell her any different.  lol  She's serious when it's time to work and playful when it's time to just hang out in the house.

That is amazing how much they look alike. Shiloh does that same pose often ;) she likes to steal the pillows. I also have a 12 pound Jack Russell and an 18 pound Shih Tzu and she thinks she is the same size too. She sits on the back of the recliner like a cat because the JR does, of course now it is beginning to tip over. I'm hoping to train mine for therapy work. We have a great trainer and lots of time. Is yours full blood Mal? Wow, 70 pounds, that's a big lap dog!

She's absolutely beautiful. They are such amazing and energetic dogs. I hope Shiloh at least grows into her ears ;) I'm curious how big Shiloh will get being a mix. She is in to breaking household items these days. It was a vase yesterday and a table last month. She is just such a spaz. Like you said, teenager.
