My latest litter.  Not for sale (all spoken for), just posting pictures for fun.  1 day old.  3F and 1M.

Nice litter,they all look very dark. What type of bedding is that?

It's a combination of pine shavings and alfalfa hay.  Works really well with puppies.  The alfalfa is really leafy, vs "stemmy" (is that a word LOL), but having the hay stalks helps keep all the bedding in one place.  The shavings are absorbant so it keeps the pups clean/dry, and it gives them something to burrow down into if they get cold.  In the past I've done either/or, but Lilly wanted to mix everything up, so ...  Later I'll switch them to just hay, and the shavings will be in the potty area of the kennel, to start teaching them to eliminate in just one section.  The hay is cleaner when it comes to toys, and if they ingest some of it, no big deal, it's digestable.  The adults actually eat the leaves off it sometimes LOL
