Purchasing GSD outside of the USA. - Page 1

Just wondering from anyone that may know.....we have been looking for a breeding age male.  I have viewed and reviewed the classifieds time and time again and have contacted several sellers inquiring about their dogs.  One of these dogs that we have out eye on meets what we are looking for.  With that said, I have also read post after post about alleged scams, which have me nervous, and being cautious by nature, I strive to get all of my facts in order first.  My question is this: would it be expected that a young male I am looking at to possibly purchase from somewhere in the European theater have his Hips/Elbows certification with OFA?  Not SV?  Thanks for any help you may provide!

NO. That would be super odd. No one over there sends to OFA- why would they, if they can certify in their country by 12mos?

Yes, that would be odd indeed! Possible huge red flag that someone is not telling the truth about something!
