All I need to know is what was the females progesterone level the day she was bred from her owner and I have all the information necessary to form an educated opinion of the complete situation.

That's besides the point, if she took or not for the first shipment is not the ISSUE. The issue is that the stud was not available and I offered the one that was and he doesn't want it, so he was his money back. I'm willing to offer half of the stud fee he paid, but he wants to be refunded for the one he already used in the beginning.
Thank you for keeping this on top Dog 1 , is a small world .

I would like to offer an opinion base on common sense first Dogs have been bred for years and there are some normally expected things that go along with a breeding. The details of any agreement can come into play once the full details are known. If I knew what the females progesterone level was when she was bred, I could assess the situation completely. Without this, there is some essential information missing from both sides. Just need all the info to assess it.

I have been in touch with Jose Diaz for the two years that I have wanted and prepared to get into the breeding of long hairs. I had questions about hips and xrays done when pups are young. Mr. Diaz was very helpful, nice, generous with his advice to me. I have heard the same comments from others who have been satisfied with doing business with him. I know of another man personally that just couldn't get over that out of his Diaz breeding, he had thrown a couple of long coats which was very disapointing to him. Jose diaz response to him, in my opinion was fair and consolng to a man who only wanted stock coats.
The people who I know who have purchased an expensive VA from him remain happy and grateful for their purchase.
I don't know what happened to this man and his breeding attempts. If indeed the first breeding did fail, perhaps he was really counting on and needing a successful breeding, I think we can understand the disapointment. sometimes people want to take their angst out on others, especially those trying to help.
Long winded-but, what I am saying is that my experience of Jose Diaz has been positive. I paid $800. for my breeding to a dog that I loved who did not have the titles as Tuerig. I drove 7 hours and slept in the car with my other female. I think either a reschedule or a refund of $400 is fair. Maybe, apologies and a retry. Let Jose know in advance when the month is coming up, not just at bleed time-easy enough and he will be prepared and the dog available. If I was going to use one of Diaz's dogs, I would fly or drive to Florida, enjoy the weather and have my dog bred. Try reconcilliation. My opinion , Jose Diaz is an honest and a respectable breeder and a good guy.

Dog1 , he never told me, he just said " ship Semen today" per his vet. Why you keep asking this?? The issue is he wants the back up Semen/breeding now and I offered him HALF the stud, since the initial male is not available and he doesn't want the stud available. You keep repeating the same, your opinion would be about prior stud not available and what remedy I'm offering him. He started this to slander me, that's all. He wants me to give him 2 pups !!! Who guarantee pups? How do you know his vet knows what he's doing timing his female, etc
*************************************************
He wants the back up breeding, I don't have the stud, I'm offering to give back half the fee, because we did the first breeding already...

I don´t see the point here, jdiaz fullfilled the contract by shipping semen months ago, he was willing to send semen the second time, but asked for a time frame. Sounds responsible to me - it doesn´t make sense to use a stud several days on a row.
The progesterone level of the first breeding is not the responsibility of jdiaz, but the dam owner. He sold the semen, nothing else.
The OP simply should have called and said " my female started to bleed" and jdiaz would have been able to react accordingly.
That´s not too much he asked for... and I guess the OP read the contract.

About Kosmo - you call this dog a "run of the mill" dog - this dog is 2 years old, out of well known parents ( father VA rated ), IPO3 rated, V rated, koered, HD and ED normal, and was shown on several shows in my country, including Regionals.
