Here's how my next litter is going to be sold and I'll probably be slammed for it but it is my last planned litter. No deposits period until pups are on the ground. All pups will be sold with full registration. No guarantees on future health problems, hips or temperment. I'm making the price very reasonable for the breeding that it is to make up for lack of guarantee. So there you have it. Actually, the more I think about it, it sounds like the idea would make everyone's life much simpler. Charge less for the pups and let the chips fall where they may. I've bought top bred pups from two very good breeders and both turned out with some form of HD. Yes, I could of gotten another pup from one breeder if I had sent mine back but I choose to place her myself and take the loss. The other breeder (Triton kennels) did not require the pup come back and she would still replace the dog if I asked but I'm not ready for a pup now. |
