FYI for users of working-dog .com - Page 1

Just a warning: I have asked working-dog.com multiple times to remove the information about my dogs as I do not give them permission to publish it. They refuse to do so, stating that "dogs are things from a legal point of view and have no rights. Their data are not affected by the data protection and can continue to be processed without restriction."

They know very well that people want their information removed by the site and try to use a jumbled interpretation of German online publishing law to try to dissuade people from getting their information taken down. I'm annoyed enough about this issue to fully pursue a resolution, both because I don't want my information used in such a way and because the administrators of the site are so obnoxious about it. If someone contacts you and wants their information taken off a web site, you should clearly just do it because that is the decent thing.

This might not bother some people but just be aware that if your dogs end up listed on that site, you'll have a hell of a time getting your information taken down, and the site can and will associate anyone who wants to claim your dog as its owner or breeder and you will be able to do nothing about it.

If anyone else is in the same boat, a united front might help.

What kind of information?
You can force WD to remove your personal data and ownership in case you are no member of workingdog, but official informations about a dog ( for example SZ, parents, breeder, HD, ED, show results, trial results, siblings, offspring) ? Why?
