How much, on average, considering the dog is well fed and cared for, of course, will a male AB gain after 1 year of age?

Depending on if your dog is a Johnson, Performance type or "hybred" your dog can continue growing for up to 3-4 years. Some dogs mature much slower then other.
While my own dog was about full height at 1 1/2 years he continue to grow and fill out until he was 5. At 5 he was a fully finished male dog. He looked a lot different from when he was 1-3- and 5. I recently lost him at 9, Luther was a hybred type dog. His mother was a Johnson/Hines dog and his father was Josh from Joshua kennels. He weight about 95 lbs most his life and stood 24" at the withers with a 24 inch head.
As the other poster mentioned. Keep your dog lean and work to develop muscle. Feed good quality food and plenty of exercise. Do not be concerned with how much your dog weighs as most "bulldog" owners either have fat dogs or lie about how big they are.
A well balanced dog is a thing of beauty.

I have a 19 month old unnuetered male American Bulldog. His current weight is roughly 130 lbs. He eats a very well balanced meal which I supplement with homemade dog food. He is not fat/overweight. He is very lean, compact and muscular. I've noticed that as he continues to grow, he's reached his maximum height, but his chest is dropping becoming more muscular and his muscles continue to be well defined. The size or weight of your American Bulldog doesn't matter, it's their overall health and disposition that will matter as he/she continues to grow up. Just remember that although they are big breed dogs, they aren't fully matured until after 2 yrs of age. Neutering at an early age has show issues with the development of their size and disposition.
