Here's the link to Pierre Wahlstrom's FB page where he discusses why some of these top dogs didn't want to engage the decoy: https://www.facebook.com/pierre.wahlstrom.5

ValK, Facebook does that crap sometimes. You might have to close it and then reopen it again...the page is most definitely still there.

Smiley, the discussions are on various peoples' Facebook pages, starting with Pierre Wahlström's [Swedish IPO judge] as well as others...

One case in point re sleeve presentation and the results, on Waine Singleton's page re  Bernabé Fernandez and Franco de Parayas' C phase

One thing I was happy to NOT see so far in this year's obedience performances.... I still cringe thinking about the Japan team's dogs jumping style, and thinking of how they were 'taught' that style [go to 4:50 in the clip]. This wasn't the only dog on the team that jumped this way.

How weird ! How many dogs in total on the Japanese team ? Did they have any dogs which jumped 'normally' ? Could this have been taught with some "safety consideration" in mind ? - you know, like "look before you leap" sorta thing ?

Valk, let me be clear, I am sure there were some great dogs at WUSV, my comments were about the particular dog in the video, ( though all I said is that knowledgeable people understand what's going on in the video....and they do!).....so I am not casting any dispersions, having said that I find it very interesting that by all accounts the decoys and conditions were somewhat altered for ALL dogs at this trial and quite a few dogs had major issues with these changes. It would seem that this fits the narrative I have pushed for years and have been condemned so severely by some on this forum. Of course the better dogs made the adjustments as Pierre said, but of course some had sour grapes because they refuse to acknowledge even what was shown. Dogs were not jammed on tracks, yet the conditions imposed set many dogs in fits. I congratulate all that made it to WUSV and I think that this year's provided much to be learned from open minded....and that's more important than winning in my mind because this trial yearly has big impact on breeding choices.

Sun silver and Hexe...when I click the links you both posted regarding the discussion of helper, it says page not available. Don't know if it was pulled or because I don't have Facebook, I am not able to view. Bummer. Thank you though for trying to show me the link!

Also, does anyone think Debby was trained without complusion or with limited compulsion. Her performance looks so different and I appreciated the frequent handler praise she was given.....
